Anyone who knows me also knows that I am obsessed with bedding. Comforters, blankets, you name it. I seriously have to resist the urge weekly to buy new bedding for all four beds in our home.
This week for my 40 bags in 40 days I hit the laundry room and the shelf I keep our smaller blankets and sheets on. It ended up being very liberating for me.
I came up with 2 garbage bags full of linens to give away/donate. I can't believe I was able to actually let go of so much.
1st photo-before shot (I know it's awful)
2nd- the after!!
3rd- the pile I got rid of. I also found a quilt and another blanket to donate after I took the photo. Half of the linens are going to one of my best friends who has 3(soon to be 4) kiddos. The red box is all trash.

Another 40 bags update
I'm posting this mainly to inspire myself to keep going. I've made a good amount of progress on my 40 bags. I cleaned out a ton of drawers in the kitchen. Can you believe we actually had FIVE junk drawers in the kitchen alone? Wow. I cleaned out all but one so far and it made room for me to actually store stuff the way I want to.
I'm up to 11 Walmart sized bags of trash and a 13 gallon trash bag. 12 bags down. 28 to go. I also organized my desk drawer. Here are a few before/afters. The first set is my desk drawer and the last is one of my kitchen drawers. I cleaned it out enough to be able to have a home fragrance drawer. It's so convenient now when I need to grab a wax melt. No more pulling everything out of cabinets to find them.

The start of 40 bags in 40 days
This is the 5th post for today because I am
catching up now that my phone is allowing me to post photos again. So be sure to read through the posts.
When I decided to participate in 40 bags in 40 days I got very excited. Now that I have started I am even more excited.
The first place I tackled was the bathroom. I had NO clue how much expired stuff was in our cabinets. To make it worse I had four plastic bins on the counter to hold our stuff because I thought there was no room in our two HUGE medicine cabinets. Boy was I wrong. I cleared out so much that I was able to get rid of the plastic containers on the counter. (I kept them of course for other organizing areas.)
Now the kids and I share a medicine cabinet and sink and hubs has his own. I also cleaned out the bottom cabinets. Total I got 2 Walmart bags completely full of trash!! I also started on a kitchen cabinet and got another bag and I hit the van yesterday and ended up with an entire 13 gallon trash bag of junk to throw out. That is awful that there was that much in our van. I still have to clean out the trunk. I really hope that this project makes me rethink the things in our home.
The first photo is the medicine cabinet all cleaned out. It's full of stuff but that stuff was ALL sitting on the counters because there was so much JUNK in the cabinets. To get it all in there was a serious VICTORY! Everything in there now are the products we use constantly. No more never used or expired items.
4 bags down! 36 more to go!

A ??? For you and 40 bags in 40 days
Ok... My blog issue is not resolving itself. Google has been no help at all. So I'm left with several options. And I'm asking you my blog readers what you would prefer. Don't be shy and comment. I know you guys are out there. I check my stats often so let me know which of these options you would prefer.
Option A: I can wait it out. Keep posting without photos and pray it eventually works again.
Option B: start a new blog which would be a lot of work.
Option C: my old blog (Crazy Life of Mine) is still allowing me to post photos. I could move back there but I haven't used it in over 2 years.
I would just use my laptop(the problem is only on the app) but I have no spyware yet and my last laptop met a horrible death of 39 viruses last time. So I'm not risking it.
Opinions? Preferences? Ideas?
Ok moving right along....
40 bags in 40 days! This year I am joining the challenge at The Larson Lingo. Clear out your home in 40 days and find at least 40 bags of stuff to donate or throw out. I am so excited about doing this. I've already started in the bathroom cabinets and have 3 bags of stuff I have thrown out. I found a bottle of Clinique clarifying toner that I purchased on a trip with my yearbook staff during my JUNIOR year of high school. That's right! I held on to that bottle for 12 years! Wow. It felt so good to purge all the old products.
I can't wait to start to really make progress.
