Tonight I made granola. Now that wouldn't seem like a huge accomplishment except I didn't use a recipe at all. It came out so good. I can't wait to serve it to the kids as cereal in the morning before church.
What did I do? Well this is the most non specific recipe ever. In fact it is really just a list of ingredients.
First I melted a bunch of butter, olive oil, brown sugar and honey in a big pot.
Then I added vanilla and cinnamon. I also added about half a cup of water. Then I dumped in a bunch of oats and coconut. Mixed until it was all wet and then baked on a cookie sheet until it was toasted.
It turned out divine. There are endless possibilities with this. It's gonna be fun experimenting.
