Sand

Yesterday after school our friends knocked on the door because their car broke down right in front of our house. The kids were thrilled because they got to play with their friend. I haven't been letting them play in the vacant lot lately because I have been afraid of nails and glass from when they tore the house down. But yesterday I caved and they had a blast. The friends that were here are the ones that ironically used to live where the huge lot of sand is now. We talked about how the kids used to play together IN the house instead of in a big pile of dirt and sand.

all 4 kids kept running in the house and grabbing lots of trucks to play with. I think that it is ok now for them to play in that area. They did a good job of cleaning it up plus our landlord had a ton of sand dropped in to level it all out. From now on it is going to be a great area where the kids can play and I can sit on our front porch watching them. Only downside is all the sand that was trekked inside. Even the tub was filled with it after their bath.
