house and then went to a wilderness park complete with a wonderful creek.
We spent 4 hours in the creek. There was a bank under a bunch of trees on the opposite side so we dumped the wagon and walked across the creek with 7 kids in tow. We set up and sat back watching them enjoy the water. They tried to catch minnows, raced and pretty much everything else you can think of. In a word it was perfect.
Before the creek we walked them through the little nature observatory and looked at all the snakes and other animals they had there.
After 4 hours there we packed up (by this time it was soooo hot) and headed back to our friends house. The kids played outside for the next 6.5 hours. They were on the slip n slide, treehouse, collecting eggs, you name it. We had a great day. As we were leaving the boy said....
" But mommy! We didn't get to play much."
We had been out and playing since 10:00 a.m and it was 8:30 p.m when we packed up to head home so they had MORE than enough play time. He cracks me up.
It was one of those perfect summer days. We all went to bed with smiles on our faces. I took over 100 pictures so this is just a taste of then. As usual my phone scrambled all the pics.
April, look at the picture of kaydence and your feet!! Tell me that doesn't look like a dang snake rolled at the top of her head lol!!
