At the doctor's today things did not go so well. The flu test hurt the boy and he was hysterical afterwards so it is no wonder that when it came time to do his X-ray he completely flipped out. This led to me almost going head to head with the technician. She made me furious by saying she would not do his X-ray, etc. unless he calmed down and made some very rude and
unprofessional comments. Towards the end I was so desperate to get the X-ray of my sons chest that I promised him he could open up a present when we got home if he would let us get that film. He eventually did and I let the technician thing go simply because we never have to deal with that side of the office and we adore the rest of the staff.
To my relief the present he really wanted to open was just a small "filler" package so I let him have at it. I also gave the girls a filler gift so they could all play together. That was the best thing I could have done. I set the girls lose outside to collect items to make a fairy house to go with their fairy figurines and they got the boy some rocks so that his new knights could fight on the rocks, climb them, etc. ALL 3 OF MY KIDS HAVE BEEN PLAYING TOGETHER SINCE!!!!
Victory for me and since they were just little things to add to their gifts it worked out well. Sons X-ray complete ( along with developing pneumonia found) and happy kids. :)

Looks like the kids had a great time! Sorry to hear your son's x-ray showed signs of pneumonia. Hope he's over it and 100% very soon! It's no fun being sick especially during the holidays.
