Goodbye Quinny

We had just been relaxing and watching movies all day when I went into our room and discovered one of our chinchillas (Quinn) laying weird in one of her tunnels. I went to check on her and found that she wasn't breathing. She wasn't sick and we had no warning. Chinchillas have a lifespan of 18-23 years and they don't usually get sick so we don't know what happened.

All five of us are heartbroken. She was very bonded to hubs and Makayla and they are taking it pretty rough. Chins have personalities almost as strong as humans so this one really hurts. We buried her outside in a pretty box and had the kids say some words as hubs covered the box.

It's a very sad day for us around here. My favorite pic of Quinn is the one where she is giving hubs a kiss.

Goodbye Quinny. You truly were part of our family.
