Last night was a little rough on Makayla. For some reason she did not want to sleep in her room or anywhere other than the couch. I gave her the option of going to sleep with daddy for a bit but she was not happy. I continued to send her back to bed and carried on with my top secret birthday project( more on that another time).She came out of the room about 3 more times and each time begged me to let her sleep on the couch. Each time I told her no. Then she came out a fifth time and said " Mommy, please let me sleep on the couch. I promise I won't bother you." As I was looking at my blue eyed almost eight year old little girl I realized that there wasn't a real reason I was saying no.
It wasn't going to hurt anyone if she slept on the couch for a night. It wasn't going to hurt anyone if she was up at 11:00 p.m reading her Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. So I said yes.
And my sweet little girl crawled onto the couch with her pillow, blanket, baby and book and settled in for a night of coziness.
My boys love to also sleep on the couch, it is probably due to the fact that the swamp cooler is in the living room. Nathan is a big big fan of the Wimpy kid movies.
